Community-Driven Autism Support
Hearts for Autism was founded by Estee Hafassa and Abel Covarrubias to create inclusive opportunities for children with autism to connect, learn, and thrive alongside their peers. What began with a shared vision for an autism-focused camp has grown into a community-driven organization supporting children and families across Southern New Mexico.
Through programs like Camp New Amigos and partnerships with local schools, universities, and civic organizations, Hearts for Autism delivers experiences that promote social development, learning, and inclusion. Alongside direct support for families, the organization also provides community education and training to strengthen autism support throughout the region.
